FAQS:

How do I book an appointment?

Please follow the link above and select your chosen piercer - head piercer or apprentice. Then select your chosen piercing service, ensuring you have checked the details, before choosing your preferred date and time. Payment will be taken at the time of booking.

Who are the practitioners?

Our head piercer is Megan, also known as Mystic Piercer (mystic_piercer on instagram). She has been professionally piercing for 7+ years and is a pro-team artist for Tish Lyon Jewellery and Aces Supply. Her favourite appointments are ear curations and stylings, she's something of a magpie and loves adding a sparkle to someone's day.

Our apprentice piercer is Sam, also known as Samich__Piercings on Instagram. She has been shadowing and training under Megan for the last year and is now confidently piercing lobes, conches, helix and nostrils. Her skills are ever growing and she is regularly offering 50% off training appointments to further her development, all these appointments are overseen by Megan (2 piercers for the price of 1!). Always keep an eye out on her stories to snap one of these appointments as they become available.

What does the piercing fee include?

The piercing fee includes implant-grade titanium jewellery with plain balls (ASTM-F136). Any upgraded jewellery, if not custom ordered, is discussed and quoted at the appointment.

How do I need to prepare/ what to bring with me to my appointment?

Always prepare for your appointment by eating at least 3 hours before the appointment, and we recommend that you bring a sugary drink with you. On arrival you will need to complete a consent form and attach a photograph of your ID, so bringing it with you physically is a must.

What forms of ID are accepted?

The forms of ID we accept are photo ID (ie. a photograph of you, your name and date of birth) these commonly will be driving license, passport or citizen cards. For clients between the ages of 8-14 where photo ID is not as common, if previously discussed we will allow a birth certificate for a child accompanied by an adult with physical photo ID.

What will happen at my appointment?

At your appointment your chosen piercer will come and greet you at reception before walking you through our selection of jewellery in house, should you wish to upgrade. A selection of jewellery will be taken with you upstairs to our private piercing to start the styling process, where final quoting for any upgraded pieces will take place. You will then discuss the appointment in detail, before you fill out the consent form and photograph your ID. When you are ready, your chosen piercing service will be carried out and aftercare explained - we also sell aftercare solution should you require it.

What if I need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule your appointment, you can do this through your booking confirmation email. If this is within 24 hours of the appointment, this will result in a 50% rescheduling fee.

I have allergies, is this a problem?

During your appointment, you will fill out the consent form which allows space to notify us of any allergies, which we can then discuss. This shouldn't be an issue however as we use latex-free nitrile gloves at all appointments and only use implant-grade titanium and solid 14-18k gold jewellery, these pieces are hypoallergenic and body safe.

Can I wear my jewellery for swimming/MRI scans etc?

Yes! As all our jewellery is either implant-grade titanium (ASTM-F136) or 14-18k Gold, you are able to wear these in your day to day life without worry. As these are non-magnetic metals, they are also safe for MRI scans.

Are appointments accessible?

Our private piercing room is upstairs however appointments can carried out on the ground floor. Please keep in mind that these appointments will be done in the same room as tattoo artists, prior notice is preferred so that we can appropriately accommodate your arrival.
